Engineering Backend Team Lead

Buildots is looking for an entrepreneurial Backend Team Lead to lead a brand-new product line and design the architecture from scratch. The role is hands-on, with about 50-60% coding initially in Python, plus hiring and mentoring a new engineering team and driving delivery in a hybrid Tel-Aviv role.

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• at least 3 years in a leadership role (Team Lead or Tech Lead)
• Deep expertise in Python (OOP, heavy data processing, or backend systems)
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud environments (AWS/GCP)
• Proven experience working with relational databases and data engineering pipelines
• Experience taking a product from concept to production
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
